Airports & Flights

  • The closest airports to the resort are:

    1. Puerto Plata (POP) - 40min to resort

    2. Santiago de los Caballeros airport (STI) - 1.5h

    3. Santo Domingo (SDQ) - 3.5h

It will likely be hard finding a decent flight to Puerto Plata (POP) from Europe so Santiago de los Caballeros (STI) will likely be the best choice.

Flight tickets for March 2026 have not been released yet, but going by 2025 Delta Airlines has the best option to Santiago de los Caballeros airport (STI) with just 1 connecting flight at JFK, New York City. Unfortunately, the layover is about 6-7h at JFK making total time traveling about 20h.

Fastest flight option from Stockholm to Dominican Republic is flying to Santo Domingo airport (SDQ). The Spanish airline Iberia has a route from Stockholm to Santo Domingo with a short layover in Madrid, with a total flight time of about 15h each way. Although, then you’ll need to rent a car and drive 3.5h to the resort - driving can be a bit chaotic and challenging in DR so keep that in mind as well.

Tickets for March 2026 should start getting released in mid May this year and by summer most options should be available.

Keep in mind we plan on providing transportation from Santiago and Puerto Plata airports to/from the resort, but not Santo Domingo.

We recommend flying from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport Puerto Rico in San Juan (SJU). They have direct flights to Santiago de los Caballeros airport (STI) every day with a total flight time of about 1h.

There are direct flights to Puerto Plata airport (POP) as well with Frontier airlines, but they only fly on Thursdays and Sundays.

Keep in mind we plan on providing transportation from Santiago and Puerto Plata airports to/from the resort, but not Santo Domingo.

If you’re flying from east coast, you may be able to find direct flights to both Puerto Plata and Santiago airports, however, for our west coast friends you will likely need to catch a connecting flight to either Puerto Plata and Santiago airports - Santiago will likely be cheaper and have more options to chose from.

Keep in mind we plan on providing transportation from Santiago and Puerto Plata airports to/from the resort, but not Santo Domingo.

Visa & Passport

  • Passport needs to be valid for a minimum of 6 months from entering Dominican Republic, so if you’re passport is expiring sometime in September or later, you’ll need to get a new passport.

  • NO visa is required for U.S. or E.U./U.K citizens so all of our guests should be able to enter Dominican Republic visa free so long as the stay is less than 30 days.

However, given that majority of flights have a connecting flight in the U.S. you will likely need to get a U.S. ESTA Visa to be allowed to transfer at the U.S. airport to the final flight to Dominican Republic.

  • Dominican Republic requires tourist to fill out an electronic customs document. One submission per family (up to 7 people in a family). Click HERE to view link to Dominican Republic Immigration website where you fill out the form.
