Symbolic Fee

We will communicate a symbolic fee to you all individually. This fee will include:

  • 4 nights stay at resort

  • Transfer to/from resort and airport

  • Breakfast & Dinner buffets every day

  • Resort staff gratuity

  • Please consider the symbolic fee as your gift, we do not want any wedding gifts - your presence is the gift!

Guest Expenses

Example of expenses that guests are responsible for:

  • Flight tickets

  • Hotel nights outside of the March 4-8 dates

  • Lunch - you can order at hotel restaurant

  • Any activities such as a boat trip, dance class, or golf

  • Drinks - guests may purchase drinks at hotel bar. They will likely be around $5/beer and $10/cocktail. Open bar on Wedding day.

Location

The resort is located on the North side of Dominican Republic. It’s about 20min to Cabarete the closest town with restaurants and bars, and an hour from Puerto Plata

It’s about 3h drive from Santo Domingo, the capital of Dominican Republic and 1.5h from Santiago, the 2nd largest city.

The Resort

The resort is located oceanfront in a remote area called Las Cañas. It has a pool, private beach, restaurant/bar, and air conditioning in each bedroom. It has 28 bedrooms spread throughout 19 apartments in 7 villas.

Weather

Weather in March is mostly sunny but as it’s a tropical climate rain showers are common. High of about 29°C/84°F and low of around 20°C/68°F at night.

Wedding & Attire

Very simple beach ceremony at the resort on March 6th. It will likely be hot so dress code is casual, think linen shirt and summer dress. Suits for the gents and heels for the ladies are not recommended.

RSVP | OSA

As there are more guests than amount of beds at the resort, we are asking anyone who knows they aren’t going to please let us know as soon as possible so we can offer the room to another guest. We will have two “deadline” dates:

June 30th - We ask you to communicate your preliminary yes/no by this date - this will serve as your room reservation. It’s OK to change your mind by final OSA/RSVP date as we understand it’s hard to give a definite answer so far ahead.

September 30th - This is the official RSVP/OSA date where you let us know if you will be attending our wedding or not. This is when we will collect the symbolic fee.
